URBAN TRIBE STOCKHOLM

Adam Atterby
Adam has worked professionally as a musician and producer for some 15 years, producing music for TV-shows, DVD-productions and big events. He was worked with every imaginable type of music (for instance he played heavy metal in the band Stenhårt with parts of the elite of hard rock in Sweden)but rootsreggae has always been closest to his heart. The dream of forming a reggaeband lay dormant for many years and it wasn't until Adam found Steve and Anders and formed Positive Vibration in 1998 that it finally came true. Adam's studio lies just a stone's throw away from the legendary Rubadub Studio, run by master of dub Internal Dread.

Bamma B

Bamma who hails from Trinidad was a guestartist on Urban Tribe Stockholm's first album "Bob's Bar" and was asked to join the band fulltime since it was obvious to everyone how important he is for the sound of the band. Bamma has his own studio where he records and produces various artists and also teaches musicproducing at a local school in Stockholm.

Anders Kappelin
Bass player and riddim builder. Anders plays and have played with many artists like Club Killers, Stakka Bo, Governor Andy, Joseph Beckford, Moneybrother and many more. Also has his own backing band called "Electronics". Anders was a part of the line-up of Positive Vibration.

Steve Nilsson
Drummer Steve originally was a guitarist, but since hearing the hypnotic skip-beat and firm onedrop beat of Carlton Barret of the Wailers, Steve has played the drums. Has played with artists like Tippa Irie, Dillinger, U-Brown and Roger Robin. Steve was a part of Positive Vibration.

Frank Rönningen
Keyboardist Frank Rönningen was totally new to reggae when Adam asked him to join Positive Vibration. After only  a couple of rehearsals the band recorded their livealbum "Live at Alcazar" with Frank sounding like a seasoned reggaepro. Such is the extent of his talent - Adam used to say that Frank is the best keyboardist he had ever played with, but these days he has changed it to Frank being probably the best keyboardist he has ever
heard. Frank's steady gig is with legendary Swedish band Smalare än Thord.

Mikael Atterby
Mikael is Adam's older brother and is, apart from reggae, hugely into laidback acoustic music like newgrass and other styles with country flavour. He plays dobro, lap steel and other string instruments in Handin' Heart, ROOT63 and records in his studio. Mikael was a part of the original line-up of Positive Vibration.

Petter Svärd
Apart from playing percussion in Urban Tribe, Petter's main passion is playing drums in his jazz-trio Stekpanna who have released 6 albums to date and have toured extensively in Europe and Russia. Check it out at www.stekpanna.com. Petter also was in Positive Vibration and has done hundreds of gigs with Adam's coverband Bigfoot.

Charlotte Atterby
Charlotte is married to Adam but this by no way gave her a free ticket into the band - if anything it probably made it harder...but since Charlotte is an accomplished singer she was perfect for the band. Charlotte has also been involved in both the production of the albums as well as the choir arrangements.

Linda Rönnbäck
Linda works as a vocal teacher at Kulturama in Stockholm and when she's not singing with Urban Tribe Stockholm she's either singing in One Voice or out somewhere together with Charlotte doing backing vocals for some well-known Swedish artist. When Linda joined the band in December 2005 she and Charlotte found eachother instantly and now call themselves soul sisters.

Christian Lindström
Christian is Charlotte's brother (also making him Adam's brother-in-law) and is originally a heavy metal drummer. He was more or less totally new to reggae music when Adam asked him to join the band but since Christian (and Charlotte) come from an extremely musical family he just jumped right on in and came out on top.

Tobbe Eliasson
Sax-player Tobbe has worked with artists like Knockout Greg and Blue Weather and Swedish bluesartist Sven Zetterberg, and has toured extensively through the years. Tobbe was a part of Positive Vibration and has played on and off with Adam's coverband aswell as being the sax-player of choice whenever Adam needs a saxplayer in the studio or at some event.

Martin Pålsson
Martin isn't only a trombone player but also an extremely talented multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. He also happens to have perfect pitch and is extremely sought-after and probably works more than he should. Martin was a part of Positive Vibration and has done many gigs with Adam in different constellations in the past.
